Me in a "Nutshell"
-
My name is David Newcomer, and I am a physician who specializes in general surgery. This personal web site was created to tell you more about me, my interests, and my passions outside my professional life. Some of my main avocational interests include gardening, roller-blading, golfing, hiking, traveling, studying taxonomy/botany/entomology/evolutionary biology, photography, karaoke, playing the piano, playing bridge, and skydiving. I also enjoy reading scientific journals and listening to a wide variety of music CD's in my spare time.
I would like to digress here to thank all the people who voted for me as the "Best General Surgeon" in LANCASTER COUNTY MAGAZINE.

WHY BUILD A PERSONAL WEB SITE?

My Web Site Story

Believe it or not, practicality took precedence over a whacky desire to publicize myself to net surfers. Someone once said, "To learn about something, you've got to experience it." (And if no one has said this yet, they should have.) Anyway, I thought actually designing my own site would teach me more about domain names, web site design, and web site hosting than I could have learned by reading several volumes on HTML. That thinking turned out to be correct--plus it's loads of fun! I hope you're enjoying exploring the site as much as I have enjoyed putting it together. In addition, you should find much of the information here useful. What additional features would you like to see on my web site? Let me know!
